How to Find Us

We’re right in the heart of Lancaster’s city centre with all transport links within easy walking distance.

By Car: Sadly, the council have recently shut our nearest recommended car park named Castle Car Park and have not offered a date for reopening at this time. As Lancaster has a tricky one-way system to navigate we urge all our guests bringing cars to plan their journeys ahead of time.

We’d suggest the St Nicholas Arcades Car Park. Accessible between 8am and 9pm Monday – Friday, 8am and 5pm Sundays, with cars locked away over night. There is an emergency release fee to access your vehicle during closure times. 

There is an NCP car park directly next to us on Sun Street, however, this can often be very busy and difficult to park especially mid-week. 

There are some on street parking spaces outside our hotel, on Church Street and New Street, however, again these spaces are limited. These are one hour stays from 8am-6pm but free over night from 6pm-8pam. 

If you can – leave your car at home and get the train! We’re just 5 minutes from the train station with easily accessible train links from all over the country.

By Train: From Lancaster Train Station, leave by the Ticket Office exit and turn right. As you reach the main road, take a left and head into the city centre. Just before you reach the road crossing, you will pass Jailor’s Barrel pub on your left, at the crossing turn left and follow the direction of the traffic. At the next set of traffic lights, take a right down Church Street and you’ll come to our front door on your right in about 30 seconds. The whole walk is about 5-10 minutes.
